SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This read more is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services issue made for intervention activities a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA sassa status will mobilise a lot more methods to enable the servicing of all clients and increase access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
